As someone who was born and raised 20 miles away from the birthplace of American Techno, Detroit, MI. Disco Zombie has always took inspiration from his surroundings in Pontiac and abroad. Always being cognizant of what started there, from a young age he took to start making a name for himself. At 18 he caught his first glimpse into the underground world we know today, and started first DJ’ing local parties in the area. But it wasn’t until the move to Arizona in 2006 where Disco Zombie started to understand the message he wanted to convey. With his Techno and industrious upbringing, and being surrounded now by desert he’s always found solace in the macabre. In 2017 he co-founded a local underground collective in Phoenix called Techno Snobs with the intent to fill a void in the music scene locally, and starting a community similar to what he had experienced growing up. Disco Zombie has gone on to open for the likes of the legendary Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Stingray 313, and Moodyman. Learning from these masters and honing his own craft. Meanwhile, Techno Snobs had been throwing parties themselves and have become a respected name worldwide. Hoping to carry on the legacy of the local heroes he had growing up in Pontiac, meanwhile pushing the envelope with his performances and productions.
