Darlene Jackson, known worldwide as DJ Lady D, is recognized as “Chicago’s house music queen.”
Active since 1995, she is not only a DJ and producer but a builder of culture:
- Founder of Superjane, the first all-female DJ collective in the U.S.
- Label owner of D’lectable Music
- International touring DJ
- Voted Chicago’s Best House DJ (2023)
- Recognized by BET as a pioneer of house music
- Elected to the Recording Academy Board (Chicago Chapter)
She didn’t just play house music. She helped shape its future for women.
