 'nohup' is a DJ, producer, multimedia artist and tool builder based out of Seattle, WA. Their DJing strikes a unique balance between precision and chaos, crafting sets that are meticulously structured yet brimming with surprise. As a solo ambient artist, they transform dance-floor hits into long-form meditations, pulling apart melody, time, and memory until each track becomes a glowing, weightless echo of its former self. Drawing from the rich and diverse histories of dance music, they tell stories that are as emotionally deep as they are fun. They operate the label  `illegal afters tracks` and are a co-founder of Ground Hum music festival. They also build Bandcamp Tempo Adjust and Discogs Tempo Adjust, two tools for DJs to play with the BPM of music on the web.
