A true Chicago house legend, Gene Hunt has been moving dancefloors for decades at iconic venues like The Warehouse, Smart Bar, The Music Box, Medusas, and The Green Dolphin.

An apprentice of the legendary Ron Hardy, Gene came up in the heart of Chicago’s original house movement and has worked alongside heavyweights including Farley Jackmaster Funk, Robert Owens, Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers), Terry Hunter, and Kenny Dope.

His first EP Living in the Land dropped in 1987 on Trax Records, helping export Chicago house to the world. Since then, he’s released on respected labels across the U.S. and Europe including Djax, Rush Hour, Svek, and Dope Wax.

As Gene says: “I’m from the old school. I’ve seen many eras of house change — and I know what people want in music: listening and dancing.”
